Liza Kayhan is the co-founder and consultant for the association, with over a decade of experience in management, banking in Afghanistan and the United States. She is pursuing an MBA at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, focusing on international development and leadership, while serving as a Project Coordinator for the CARE program at the U.S. Department of State.
From 2014 to 2019, Liza managed consumer rights and operations at Afghanistan International Bank (AIB). She later worked at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, supporting the Department of State’s mission. After relocating to the U.S. in 2021, she worked at Bank of America before transitioning to her current role.
In addition to her professional work, Liza is committed to empowering Afghanistan communities through OXUS and her advocacy for women’s education and human rights.
