In collaboration with district MA17 of Vienna city, OXUS implemented the “Towards coexistence” project – a critical project contributing to integrating newly arrived refugees into the Austrian society.

It is aimed at helping refugees and asylum seekers from Afghanistan with different backgrounds to harmonize a working relationship with the host community in Vienna.

We want to achieve this by producing educational and motivational reports on the following topics:

1. How to take the first steps towards coexistence?
2. How to feel comfortable at home and in the host community?
3. How to effectively communicate with other members of the community?
4. How women’s equal rights can be respected while living in a new environment in Austria?
5. On respecting the fundamental rights and values of Austrian society?
6. How to actively involve in the community and contribute?

With this series of media works, we try to provide information and educate the Afghan refugee community about coexisting within the Austrian society.
