Das Biber published a comprehensive report about the work of Tanya Kayhan, Chairwoman, and founder at Oxus. The article titled “Let’s be like Tanya” covered a wide range of activities by Oxus. The paper presented Tanya as a role model for Afghan refugees and considers the Afghan community in Austria more active than Syrians. As per a census from the Austrian ministry of Work and Social Affairs as of December 2018, 9192 Afghans were full-time employed as compared to 7659 Syrians during the same time period. In the meantime, it is worth noting, that Syrian refugees have a high level of education as opposed to their Afghan counterparts.
